Hello, I’m Oliver Mading, Chief Executive Officer of Jumpin’ Juice & Java. I have an undergraduate degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and an MBA in Marketing and General Management from Columbia University, where I was a Harriman Scholar in my final year. I have run businesses for large companies, like Campbell Soup, American Home Products and Kraft Foods…….household names like Pepperidge Farm, Woolite, Entenmann’s and Oroweat. I became the youngest General Manager at Kraft Foods and took Boboli Company from $2 million to $125 million in sales in less than 5 years; the fastest growing company in its industry 3 straight years. For several years I was a partner in one of the most successful private equity firms in San Francisco, specializing in early stage consumer companies. The overwhelming urge to be directly involved in managing quickly growing companies took me back to the food business where I led a start-up to $14 million in sales within 2 years. Since then I have led the successful turnaround of a food company as well. All the years I was managing food companies I saw growth in the franchise segment of the industry like I saw nowhere else. (I even bought a franchise in a well-known chain and opened two successful stores.) A major part of my success had come from developing food products for restaurants and helping chains to implement their introduction. So when Jeff Gabica asked me to join Jumpin’ Juice & Java, I jumped at the chance to take everything I’ve learned over the years and apply it to a company with a great start and an even brighter future. |
